link: MURCIELAGO WITH MOVIT BRAKES FRONT AND REAR  08.September 2001 Automobili Lamborghini presented the new model MURCIELAGO - spanish for BAT- to ~ 200 owners arrived with their cars. To me the car is a a good example of corporate (AUDI) design. Technical details were not presented. The engine looks like the GTR engine and many details are known from the DIABLO. To me a car like this should have every detail in top level technology. F.e. I miss stainless steel exhaust, stainless steel brake lines, better rear brakes, POLTRONA FRAU interior... In 30 Years from now, will, can this be a collectible car still prized 200k$ as the famous Lambos of the past.....

350 GT, 400 GT,  Miura, Espada, Islero, Jarama, Countach Jalpa, Urraco all these wonderful cars have one severe problem in todays traffic: braking, especially emergency braking in wet or rainy conditions is very dangerous. The reason is a free - not covered by the wheel -spinning rotor and very heavy and antique designed three (!!) piston calipers with very small and strange shaped pads. In rain the car starts braking after some seconds and You never know if to the left or right side.

The Countach, designed for 300 kmh in 1970(!!) has something like "no-brakes" because in the 15" wheels is space only for a little rotor and a caliper which is smaller than the one of Your VW GOLF. So braking down from 250 kmh is horrible and as I know sometimes fatal in rain.

MOV' IT has developed brake - kits for these classic cars which fit under the 15"rims

You will have a secure braking in any situation, 5 kilo less weight on each wheel and the possibility to reinstall the original system any time You want - if You want - believe me as an owner of a Jarama, this car is absolutely and highly dangerous in the rain.

Same about the Miura, Islero and Espada. As an owner of an Jarama and fool of cars and especially of Lamborghini, I use now the mov it brake kit for this car and believe me, it changed to a totally different = improved car.
